GarageGames Blast Launches Non-Violent Line of Games GarageGames Blast creates a New Frontier in Family Fun
Eugene, Oregon - December 19, 2002. Independent game publisher GarageGames announces launch of GarageGames Blast as part of its new player's online site.
Jay Moore, GarageGames Evangelist, maintains that "the GarageGames Blast brand should never be something you read about as a possible cause of our society's moral decay. This is a brand that makes a quality statement both in terms of great game play and safe content." Moore wants people to think of the community as "a virtual game closet where any game you pull out can be played with everyone in the family. Fun games have near universal appeal."
"GarageGames Blast is as much a community where great games are played and shared, as it is a brand under which we publish games," says Jeff Tunnell, President of GarageGames. "It's a community where players can contribute, that will not have gender or age bias, girls and guys, young and old who share a connection with fun games, that are fun to play together. "
"In thinking about the connection we want to make with users it's not just about anti-violence, it is all about fun," says Tunnell. "To be a GarageGames Blast game, it must have great game play, and visually engaging graphics that get you involved as well as fit the rating of E for everyone. It should resonate as a place where players not only have no moral qualms about how they interact with the games, but also want to tell others about them - like after you see a great movie with a G or PG rating and realize you don't have to be concerned about recommending it to friends with kids."
The GarageGames Blast brand launches this December with Chain Reaction, Marble Blast and Orbz all $14.95 on GarageGames Player's Site.
